Production Technician – Malta

About the role

Baxter is seeking a Production Technician to join its Malta manufacturing site. You will be responsible for operating, maintaining and continuously improving production equipment to ensure efficient processes, high product quality and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment following Baxter procedures.
• Support engineering in installing, validating and implementing new processes and improvements.
• Ensure full compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and process‑specific safety protocols.
• Operate and monitor production equipment to meet performance targets and production schedules.
• Maintain accurate digital records of maintenance activities, equipment issues and improvement opportunities.
• Promote a clean, organized and safe work environment in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Required profile

• Fully qualified at MQF Level 4 in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
• Wireman licence A and/or B (considered an asset).
• Proven experience as a production technician or in a similar industrial manufacturing role.
• Good physical condition and ability to work on production lines.
• Understanding of safety regulations and procedures.

Required skills

• Maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment (corrective & preventive).
• Troubleshooting and problem‑solving on production machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of EHS requirements and GMP standards.
