Operations Manager

About the role

An experienced Operations Manager is needed to lead and coordinate multiple operational departments within a technical services environment. The role focuses on improving efficiency, resource utilisation, productivity, service delivery and cross‑team collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operational planning, labour allocation and resource scheduling.
• Coordinate installation, servicing, maintenance, stores and logistics activities.
• Monitor operational performance, KPIs and chair operational meetings.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts, delays and customer‑related issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance labour utilisation and stock control.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in operations, project management, engineering, HVAC, building services, facilities management, logistics or technical services.
• Proven ability to manage multiple teams or operational functions.
• Strong planning, scheduling, organisational, leadership, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Understanding of field‑service or project‑based operations and commercial awareness of productivity, costs, margins and resource utilisation.
• Comfortable analysing operational data and KPIs.
• Excellent written and spoken English and a valid driving licence.
• Technical or management qualification is a plus.
