Occupational Health Doctor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Doctor to join a leading international occupational health team based in Malta. The successful candidate will deliver professional medical assessments, support employee wellbeing and ensure compliance with client health standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct occupational health and medical examinations as required.
• Assess fitness to work, fitness to travel and provide fitness‑for‑duty recommendations.
• Identify health risks, coordinate tests and ensure timely follow‑up.
• Review, analyse and approve medical reports and vaccination requirements for international travel.
• Provide primary care home visits and second‑opinion consultations when needed.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and contribute to regular occupational health reporting.
• Advise clients, employees and occupational health coordinators on medical matters.
• Support the development and review of client‑focused SOPs and collaborate with internal and third‑party providers.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent).
• Certification/accreditation to practise as an Occupational Health Doctor.
• Post‑graduate training or specialisation in Occupational Medicine (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in occupational medicine, workplace health management, risk assessment or related fields.
• High proficiency in English; additional languages such as French, Arabic, Spanish or Portuguese are advantageous.
