Maintenance Technician – Facilities Team

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Person to join our Facilities team on a full‑time basis. You will ensure the smooth operation of our premises by performing a variety of maintenance tasks, coordinating contractors, and supporting day‑to‑day upkeep of equipment and tools.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine facilities and maintenance work, including work at heights and use of electrical tools.
• Carry out basic electrical tasks such as changing light fixtures, minor wiring, and resetting circuit breakers.
• Execute plumbing repairs, pipe work, drainage maintenance, faucet and shower fixes, and leak detection.
• Conduct carpentry tasks – door, cabinet, frame repairs and basic furniture assembly.
• Handle painting and finishing work, from surface preparation to interior and exterior painting.
• Source vendors, maintain inventory of supplies, and purchase equipment within budget.
• Support the Assistant Head of Facilities with administrative duties and maintain maintenance logs.
• Report progress of works and assist during CSR events, supervising volunteers as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of general maintenance experience covering plumbing, carpentry and painting.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with contractors and internal teams.
