Legal Counsel – Commercial & Regulatory

About the role

CoinPoker is seeking a commercially‑minded Legal Counsel to support its fast‑growing crypto‑poker platform. Working remotely, you will provide legal guidance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with iGaming, fintech, and crypto regulations while protecting the company’s commercial interests.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supplier, service, technology, marketing, affiliate, payment provider, partnership contracts, and NDAs.
• Advise internal teams on corporate, regulatory, licensing, and general legal matters in various jurisdictions.
• Support iGaming regulatory and licensing processes, including applications, renewals, and ongoing compliance.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments, assess impact, and recommend business adjustments.
• Assist with corporate structuring, M&A, due diligence, corporate authorisations, and transaction documentation.
• Collaborate with Compliance and AML teams on legal issues affecting the business.
• Help develop and implement internal policies, terms and conditions, privacy documentation, and other legal frameworks.
• Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and professional advisors as needed.

Required profile

• Law degree from Malta or another EU jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in iGaming, online gambling, fintech, crypto, or another highly regulated sector.
• Strong background in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Good understanding of corporate, commercial, contract, and regulatory law.
• Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and with international corporate structures.
