Laundry Operator

About the role

As a Laundry Operator on a cruise ship, you will ensure that all linens, towels, uniforms and guest garments are cleaned, pressed and presented to the highest standards of hygiene and appearance. Working in a fast‑paced maritime environment, you will support the overall guest experience by delivering flawless laundry services.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial washing, drying and pressing equipment.
• Sort, wash, dry, iron and fold a high volume of linens, uniforms and guest clothing.
• Apply sanitation and safety procedures to maintain hygiene standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance when needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory of laundry supplies and track workflow efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a laundry operator, preferably on a cruise ship, luxury hotel or large‑scale laundry facility.
• Strong knowledge of industrial laundry machines and garment care.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high‑volume, team‑oriented environment.
• Familiarity with health, hygiene and safety regulations related to laundry operations.
• Fluency in English (oral and written) and willingness to work onboard schedules.
