HR Associate - 1-Year Maternity Cover

About the role

Baxter is looking for an HR Associate to join its team in Marsa, Malta, on a 1-year maternity cover contract, with a preferred start date of mid-February. The role provides continuity and hands-on HR leadership during the maternity leave period, supporting key people priorities, talent processes and business needs in a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support leadership development programs and the Talent Management cycle (goal setting, performance management, development planning, organizational reviews, succession planning and high potential development)
• Evaluate learning and development resources and support change management activities
• Support workforce planning and guide the application of HR processes and policies in line with employment laws and company requirements
• Coach managers and give day-to-day performance management guidance, including coaching, development, career planning and employee relations
• Help resolve workplace issues, support engagement and retention, and partner with the HR team on inclusive recruitment
• Support compensation and benefits programs and ensure compliance with EHS, quality, labour, finance and operational excellence requirements

Required profile

• Proven HR experience of 2+ years, or a highly related field
• Diploma or higher degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with business leaders
• Discretion with sensitive matters and comfort in a fast-paced environment

What we offer

• Minimum annual salary of EUR 32,000, with possible higher pay depending on skills and experience
