Head of Consumer Financial Operations

About the role

The Head of Consumer Financial Operations will lead the financial backbone that powers our consumer crypto business. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of consumer money movement—including deposits, withdrawals, settlements and reconciliation—across both fiat and cryptocurrency assets at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end financial operations for the consumer business, defining and managing service level agreements for critical metrics such as withdrawal processing time and transaction success rate.
• Build and maintain documented SOPs and a control framework, ensuring segregation of duties, audit readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Recruit, develop and scale a high‑performing operations team, including workforce planning for distributed or outsourced functions.
• Lead consumer‑facing incident response, coordinating communication during operational disruptions.
• Drive operational readiness for new product launches and geographic expansions, collaborating with Product, Compliance and Engineering.
• Partner with Compliance and Legal to operationalize AML, fraud prevention and KYC controls; own fraud‑loss and dispute metrics.
• Work closely with Treasury on liquidity and cash positioning for consumer‑facing flows.
• Manage vendor relationships and monitor performance for payment and settlement providers.

Required profile

• Extensive experience running large‑scale financial operations in a regulated, high‑volume environment.
• Track record of building scalable processes and automation to improve efficiency.
• Strong cross‑functional leadership skills, with the ability to influence product, engineering, compliance and treasury teams.
• Excellent analytical mindset and ability to design robust control frameworks.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of fiat and cryptocurrency money movement processes.
• Expertise in AML, KYC, fraud prevention and dispute resolution.
• Proficiency in designing SOPs, SLAs and audit‑ready control structures.
• Experience with vendor management and payment infrastructure.
