Head Chef – Relocate to Malta

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to relocate to Malta and lead the kitchen of an up‑market restaurant serving bold Mediterranean cuisine. You will work from a modern, recently renovated kitchen and manage a team of 15‑20 chefs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a kitchen team of 15‑20 chefs in a modern, recently renovated kitchen.
• Oversee service for up to 200 covers and special events.
• Manage gross profit, ordering, stock control and procurement of seasonal, in‑house produced ingredients.
• Recruit, train and develop junior chefs.
• Collaborate with the wider management team to maintain the restaurant’s reputation and financial performance.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Head Chef in a busy, quality‑focused restaurant.
• Passion for authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
• EU passport holder willing to relocate.

Required skills

• Proficient knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Proficient knowledge of Food Safety standards.
