Head Chef – Luxury Fine Dining Pre‑Opening

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen of a brand‑new Asian‑inspired fine‑dining concept in Valletta. This is a pre‑opening opportunity where you will shape culinary standards, build the brigade, and deliver world‑class dining experiences for a prestigious luxury hospitality brand.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and manage all pre‑opening kitchen operations, including equipment, systems, and workflow.
• Recruit, train, mentor and develop a high‑performing kitchen team.
• Collaborate on menu development, tastings, recipe creation and plating standards.
• Oversee food purchasing, stock control, costing and kitchen budgeting.
• Maintain HACCP, food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Design efficient kitchen procedures and ensure consistent operational excellence.
• Work closely with restaurant management to enhance guest experiences.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Head Chef in a Michelin‑starred or fine‑dining establishment.
• Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Deep knowledge of modern culinary techniques and premium ingredients.
• Passion for innovation, creativity and delivering world‑class cuisine.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
