Guest Service Ambassador

About the role

The Guest Service Ambassador welcomes guests aboard with a warm, efficient and friendly disposition, handling inquiries, feedback and concerns in a professional manner. The role also supports MSC Foundation initiatives and assists with group and event coordination to enhance guest engagement throughout the cruise.

Key responsibilities

• Provide anticipative assistance, information and general support to guests.
• Take ownership of guest needs and resolve claims or concerns promptly.
• Perform administrative tasks and manage financial transactions, including cash float handling.
• Promote the MSC Foundation, explain donation mechanisms and facilitate onboard donations.
• Host and supervise MSC Foundation activities during assigned coverage, including evenings.
• Support organization of foundation‑related events in collaboration with other departments.
• Assist in planning and executing group functions and special events on a rotational basis.
• Coordinate logistics and guest communication for assigned events, ensuring seamless delivery.
• Act as liaison between guests and relevant departments for event requirements.

Required profile

• High‑school certificate.
• Experience as a receptionist or guest‑service agent.
• Extensive experience in luxury or premium hospitality.
• Cruise industry experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the Fidelio/Otalio Cruise System is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and customer‑care skills.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with computers and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluent English, oral and written; two additional European languages preferred.
