Group Head of Technology

About the role

Machete Tech is seeking an experienced Group Head of Technology to lead its Technology department. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee a team of around 20 professionals across Software Engineering, QA, DevOps and Infrastructure, ensuring delivery of secure, scalable and high‑quality solutions that align with the product roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Technology department to deliver initiatives supporting business objectives.
• Develop and maintain a technical roadmap that underpins product scalability and future growth.
• Own technical decisions across software engineering, architecture, infrastructure, cloud technologies and security.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient and maintainable.
• Identify and drive improvements in systems, engineering practices and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in technology, preferably within high‑performance or online gaming environments.
• Strong track record of building and mentoring high‑performing engineering teams.
• Ability to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills for influencing senior leadership and cross‑functional partners.
