Fleet Planning Director

About the role

The Fleet Planning Director will shape and oversee the strategic direction of fleet allocation across Vista’s global network. Reporting to senior commercial and operations leadership, the role ensures a balance between operational sustainability, revenue maximisation, and premium client experience while planning long‑term capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine fleet planning strategies and monitor daily fleet performance across the network.
• Define, standardise and implement best‑practice processes to improve consistency, scalability and resilience.
• Partner with Commercial and Operations leaders to optimise capacity, maximise revenue opportunities and align aircraft positioning with business objectives.
• Lead, mentor and develop Senior Fleet Planning Managers and Fleet Planning Managers, conducting performance reviews and fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Own the fleet planning roster, ensuring optimal resource allocation for peak periods and business continuity.
• Chair daily operational huddles to align priorities, communicate updates and promote knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fleet planning or aviation capacity management at a senior level.
• Strong leadership and people‑development skills, with experience managing senior managers.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to balance operational, financial and customer‑experience goals.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills, especially with commercial and operations teams.
• Ability to anticipate risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
