Experienced Tax Professional – Assistant Manager – International Tax

About the role

KPMG Malta is looking for an Experienced Tax Professional to join its International Tax team as an Assistant Manager. You will work with a diverse portfolio of multinational clients, providing direct tax advice on restructuring, financing, M&A and other cross‑border transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on direct tax implications of corporate restructuring, financing, domestic mergers and acquisitions, and other transactions.
• Support international and local clients with ad‑hoc direct tax engagements, including tax incentive applications, capital gains tax, stamp duty and related matters.
• Prepare corporate income tax computations, income tax returns, tax refund applications and dividend documentation.
• Develop and implement tax optimisation strategies to improve clients’ direct tax positions.

Required profile

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a tax environment after obtaining professional qualifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Maltese Income Tax Acts.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high quality.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
