Building Fabric Tradesperson

About the role

A skilled and reliable Building Fabric Tradesperson is sought to join the maintenance and facilities team in Malta. The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of building fabric maintenance, repair and installation tasks so that facilities are kept to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic plumbing maintenance and repair works.
• Carry out general electrical maintenance and minor repair tasks.
• Install and repair gypsum board and drywall systems.
• Carry out painting and decorating works as required.
• Install, repair and maintain windows, doors, locks, hinges and associated hardware.
• Carry out tile repairs and replacement works.
• Repair and maintain skirting boards and other finishing elements.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance across buildings and facilities.
• Identify maintenance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure all work is safe, efficient and meets quality standards, and keep tools, equipment and work areas tidy.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Building Fabric Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance or Building Services role.
• Good command of English.
• Practical knowledge of building maintenance and repair works.
• Strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Self-motivated, dependable and able to work with minimal supervision; strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Team-oriented, professional, honest and mature.
