Associate Client Accountant

About the role

Join Sheltons Malta as an Associate Client Accountant, managing a portfolio of international clients and ensuring accurate accounting, VAT, income tax, and payroll deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a client portfolio and deliver accounting, VAT, payroll and tax obligations on time.
• Maintain accounting records, prepare management accounts, year‑end files and accounting schedules.
• Liaise with clients, auditors and third‑party suppliers to gather information and resolve queries.
• Support process improvements and coordinate with senior accounting staff.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience in a CSP, accounting firm or similar role.
• Mid‑way through ACCA or an equivalent qualification.
• Working knowledge of Maltese VAT and income tax compliance.
• Organised, accurate and able to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Xero.
• Experience preparing management accounts and year‑end financial statements.
