Assistant Waiter (Cruise Ship)

About the role

The Assistant Waiter supports the lead waiter in delivering high‑quality dining service aboard MSC Cruises ships. You will help create a welcoming atmosphere, ensure guests feel valued, and contribute to memorable onboard meals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the waiter with setting tables, serving food and beverages, and clearing dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area throughout service.
• Engage with guests courteously, respond to their needs promptly, and provide information about menu items.
• Support smooth operation during peak periods by handling multiple tasks efficiently.
• Adhere to MSC Cruises’ food‑and‑beverage service standards and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Assistant Waiter or in a similar role, preferably on a cruise ship, in a busy restaurant, or a cafeteria.
• Strong understanding of dining etiquette and food‑and‑beverage service.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
• Relevant hospitality qualification or related field.
