Assistant Technical Inventory Officer – Cruise Ship

About the role

As an Assistant Technical Inventory Officer aboard MSC Cruises' vessels, you will support the Technical Inventory Officer in maintaining the ship's technical readiness. Your attention to detail and knowledge of maritime inventory systems ensure that critical components are always available and properly documented.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and update stock levels of technical consumables and spare parts using the AMOS system.
• Audit inventory, track slow‑moving goods, and manage turnover to minimise waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of storerooms and engine‑room component storage.
• Prepare accurate documentation for shipboard and shore‑based communication.
• Coordinate with the Chief Engineer to ensure timely supply of technical items and prevent equipment breakdowns.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar inventory role on cruise ships.
• Strong working knowledge of the AMOS inventory system and maritime logistics.
• Experience with stock control of technical consumables and spare parts.
• Familiarity with marine engine‑room components and technical equipment.
• Background in auditing stock levels and implementing checks.
• Fluent English for written reports; Italian language skills are a plus.
