Assistant Store Manager - Hudson Store Msida

About the role

Hudson Group, an international retailer and distributor mainly active in sport and fashion wear, is looking for an Assistant Store Manager for its Msida store in Malta. The role reports to the Store Manager and covers the assigned store territory on a full-time basis under an indefinite contract.

Key responsibilities

• Support the store manager in day-to-day operations, supervising, communicating and carrying out store duties.
• Supervise, train and motivate staff, and coach new and existing sales associates.
• Help plan and implement strategies to attract customers.
• Coordinate daily customer service operations such as sales, orders and payments.
• Track weekly, monthly and annual objectives and monitor and maintain store inventory.
• Evaluate employee performance, identify hiring and training needs, and suggest sales techniques to increase revenue.
• Communicate with clients, evaluate consumer behaviour and adjust product positioning.
• Produce reports and analyse retail data, and ensure staff follow company policies.
• Act as a store representative and set a high standard of work and service.

Required profile

• At least 2 years' experience in a retail store, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Familiarity with financial and customer service principles.
• Leadership, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, with a problem-solving attitude.
• Flexibility to work in shifts.

Required skills

• Able to create and analyse reports, spreadsheets and sales statistics.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
