Accountant (m/f/d)

About the role

Euro Tax Consulting is seeking a qualified accountant to manage a portfolio of Maltese companies, handling everything from day‑to‑day bookkeeping to the preparation of final accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain client portfolios, perform bookkeeping and prepare monthly/quarterly closings and management accounts.
• Prepare financial statements under GAPSME or IFRS and coordinate with auditors.
• Handle VAT returns, recapitulative statements, OSS declarations, corporate income tax returns and refund claims.
• Run payroll, including FS3 and FS5 submissions.
• Communicate directly with clients, auditors, banks and tax authorities.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, University of Malta degree or equivalent).
• 2–3 years experience in audit, advisory, corporate service provider or finance team of an international company.
• Solid knowledge of Maltese VAT and GAPSME reporting.
• Excellent English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cloud accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
