Treasury and Tax Analyst

About the role

This position sits at the heart of the tax, treasury and control function of a major multinational enterprise. Based in Malta, you will ensure accurate accounting, reporting and cash management for key holding and investment entities within the Yum! structure.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post period‑close journal entries under US GAAP and local GAAP using JDE.
• Maintain intercompany loan records, coordinate loan execution, renewal and settlement with Treasury.
• Perform intercompany elimination analysis for the international loan and notional‑pooling portfolio.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and resolve reconciling differences.
• Provide balance‑sheet analytics for quarterly consolidation.
• Manage statutory accounts, tax returns and audit processes for SIC legal entities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Assist with cash‑repatriation, payment processing and cash‑needs oversight, ensuring compliance with both statutory and US GAAP requirements.
• Support special projects and act as an accounting liaison with global markets.

Required profile

• Strong accounting technical expertise with curiosity about different GAAPs and accounting rules.
• Self‑starter who can work independently and coordinate across regions.
• Ability to dive deep into data and systems, rolling up sleeves to solve complex issues.
