Talent Acquisition & People Development Specialist

About the role

This brand‑new position combines talent acquisition and people development for a leading Maltese retail brand. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will shape the recruitment function while also designing and delivering employee training programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead direct search and headhunting for specialist and leadership vacancies.
• Own the full recruitment cycle from job description to offer and handover.
• Build and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and educational institutions.
• Design and run the annual training and development calendar.
• Support employee development and career‑progression initiatives.
• Prepare applications for training and project co‑financing under EU/JobsPlus schemes.

Required profile

• Qualification in HR, business or a related field.
• Recruitment experience, preferably with direct search/headhunting.
• Experience coordinating training or employee development programmes.
• Funding or co‑financing application experience is a strong plus.
• Strong relationship‑building skills to represent the company professionally.
