Senior Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join ARQ Group’s leadership team. The successful candidate will lead the tax advisory and compliance function, overseeing a diverse client portfolio while driving service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and evaluate the tax team, setting goals and ensuring timely delivery of all deliverables.
• Oversee preparation and review of personal and corporate tax returns and statutory filings.
• Provide expert advice on tax planning, risk management and structuring opportunities.
• Interpret legislative changes and ensure the organisation remains compliant.
• Design and deliver training programmes to develop technical capabilities within the team.
• Develop, implement and maintain tax policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Collaborate with finance, legal and corporate departments and act as subject‑matter expert for senior leadership.
• Represent clients in interactions with tax authorities, auditors and external consultants.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting or equivalent; professional tax qualification (e.g., Master’s in Tax, ADIT, MIT) is an asset.
• Qualified accountant with a proven track record in taxation and client relationship management.
• Extensive experience in both direct and indirect tax matters.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• High ethical standards and commitment to corporate governance.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the Income Tax Act and related regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting and tax software.
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
