Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Senior Tax Accountant to support a diverse international client base across multiple industries and private individuals. The role offers a hybrid working model in Valletta and provides the chance to deepen expertise in Maltese and international tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate income tax computations, income tax returns, tax refund applications and dividend documentation.
• Handle complex technical tax issues, including Notional Interest Deduction and Consolidated Income Tax rules.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.
• Prepare personal income tax returns and FATCA/CRS/DAC filings.
• Advise clients on Maltese tax implications and emerging international tax developments.
• Liaise with local tax authorities and participate in client meetings.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant with at least 2 years of relevant experience in Malta.
• Strong attention to detail, self‑motivated and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Maltese language is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
