Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer

About the role

The Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer will provide senior technical expertise across the organisation's infrastructure environment, ensuring systems remain secure, resilient, reliable and aligned with business needs. The role supports infrastructure improvements, cloud adoption initiatives and technology refresh activities while contributing to day‑to‑day IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across on‑premises and Microsoft Azure environments.
• Administer and support Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux, VMware and core networking.
• Ensure availability, security, performance and reliability of infrastructure services.
• Lead infrastructure improvements, cloud adoption and technology modernisation initiatives.
• Act as senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in infrastructure, systems or cloud engineering within an enterprise environment.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Active Directory.
• Experience administering Windows Server, Linux, VMware and enterprise networking.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing and switching.
• Proven ability to deliver infrastructure projects and improve enterprise environments.
