Project Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

AX Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a portfolio of construction projects from initiation through hand‑over. The role involves ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage all phases of construction projects, including design, execution and hand‑over.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Supervise project teams, contractors, subcontractors and consultants.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and AX Group quality standards.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality.
• Prepare and control project budgets, review invoices, change orders and financial reports.
• Serve as primary liaison for clients, suppliers and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks and milestones.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and report to the Construction and Development Director.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing large‑scale construction projects.
• Proven leadership abilities and a strong track record of delivering projects on time and budget.
• Familiarity with local regulations, health and safety standards and quality control practices.
• Flexibility to work across multiple sites in Malta and meet project deadlines.
