Project Manager – Construction

About the role

AX Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of construction projects in Malta. The role is pivotal in ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards. You will act as the main link between site teams, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site logistics, facilities and resource allocation across multiple projects.
• Coordinate labour, equipment, materials and subcontractors to maintain efficient site operations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with project teams, consultants and subcontractors to resolve site‑related issues.
• Monitor costs, resource utilisation and operational performance to maximise efficiency.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, permits and progress reports.
• Conduct routine site inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field (experience‑based competence accepted).
• 2–5 years of experience in construction project delivery.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and project resources.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, cost control and project planning.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good knowledge of health & safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Required skills

• Interpretation of technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
