Platform Business Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Platform Business Analyst to join our technology‑driven team in Malta. The role focuses on solving operational challenges, improving business processes and delivering platform enhancements in a fast‑moving SaaS environment. You will work closely with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders to translate needs into actionable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements for platform and operational improvements.
• Convert requirements into clear user stories, functional specifications and development tickets.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to identify challenges and propose practical solutions.
• Support prioritisation of enhancements based on business value and operational impact.
• Assist with testing, validation and rollout of new platform features and system updates.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of processes, workflows and system requirements.
• Monitor platform performance and key operational metrics, analysing reports to spot trends and inefficiencies.
• Investigate data discrepancies, work with technical teams to resolve them and produce insightful reports.
• Act as the primary liaison between business users and development teams, ensuring clear communication throughout projects.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives across business systems and internal processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Business Analyst, Platform Analyst or Systems Analyst.
• Background in fast‑paced technology, SaaS, fintech, digital services or e‑commerce environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
