Photo Lab Technician

About the role

The Photo Lab Technician is responsible for operating all photographic laboratory equipment aboard the vessel to produce the highest quality prints for guests, adhering to company standards and safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain photo laboratory machinery, troubleshooting any issues or malfunctions.
• Ensure all printed photographs meet or exceed guest expectations for quality.
• Monitor laboratory inventory, report stock concerns to the Photo Manager and Fleet Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized laboratory and storage area.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and at least one additional language (additional European languages are a plus).
• Minimum two years’ experience with laboratory equipment, photo chemistry, and related supplies.
• Professional certificates are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently with strong problem‑solving and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Operation of photo laboratory equipment.
• Knowledge of photo chemistry and emulsions.
• Proficiency with major photo‑editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
• Hardware and software troubleshooting.
