Motor Claims Officer

About the role

Elmo Insurance is a respected company linked to global and financially strong reinsurers, committed to quality underwriting and personalised service. We are looking for a Motor Claims Officer to support customers throughout the motor claims process, handling claims from initial notification through to settlement and ensuring efficient, professional management.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and process motor claims, ensuring all required information and documentation is accurately recorded.
• Guide customers through the claims process, providing clear and timely updates on claim progress.
• Process surveys, bills and other documentation relating to motor claims.
• Work closely with colleagues to assess liability and support the fair and efficient settlement of claims.
• Ensure claims are handled in line with legal and regulatory requirements, internal procedures and the company’s customer service standards.

Required profile

• Holds an advanced level of education.
• Takes responsibility and ownership of work.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Is organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple claims and priorities.
• Communicates confidently in both Maltese and English.
• Previous experience in the local insurance industry or knowledge of the automotive sector is an asset.
