Junior Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Junior Finance Manager to join our finance team based in Malta. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious finance professional eager to develop practical experience within an international environment. You will work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate financial data, support daily operations, and contribute to the company’s overall financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the invoicing process and manage a portfolio of clients to ensure timely and accurate billing.
• Collaborate with the commercial department to address customer billing queries and issues.
• Monitor outstanding invoices, follow up with clients, and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Perform bookkeeping of company transactions in Xero, including journal postings, accruals, and payment entries.
• Assist in the preparation and processing of supplier payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and reconcile other financial data.
• Support the Finance team in daily operations and month‑end closing processes.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and documentation for management review.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Perform additional duties and ad‑hoc tasks as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Based in Malta.
• Previous experience in a finance and accounting role.
• Diploma in finance or equivalent practical experience.
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
