Insurance Audit Manager

About the role

EY is looking for an Insurance Audit Manager in Msida. The Insurance Audit team provides assurance services to clients ranging from local businesses to well-known international brands operating mainly in the insurance sector. The manager leads audit engagements, supports them from planning to completion and coaches the team.

Key responsibilities

• Work proactively in a team, get to know clients, their businesses and how they work
• Manage engagements day to day from planning to completion, meeting key deadlines and quality expectations
• Complete audit processes and document higher-risk areas, building technical and business skills in insurance-specific areas
• Coach and develop team members reporting to you
• Build productive working relationships with client personnel
• Keep up with current local and international market trends and processes

Required profile

• Masters in Accounts, ACA/CA/ACCA or an equivalent international qualification
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience at manager level
• Experience leading, planning, executing and reporting on external audits, particularly in the insurance sector
• Strong written and verbal English
• A can-do attitude and the ability to take initiative and improve relationships and processes
