Head of Payments

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Head of Payments to own and drive the global payments strategy across multiple markets. The role will lead a dedicated payments team, manage strategic partner relationships and ensure optimal performance of the payments ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the global payments strategy.
• Lead and develop the Payments function and team.
• Manage strategic relationships with PSPs, acquirers, banks and payment partners.
• Optimise approval rates, conversion, routing, processing costs and payment availability.
• Drive payment expansion across international markets.
• Oversee crypto, wallets and stablecoin payment solutions.
• Lead commercial negotiations with payment providers.
• Work closely with Product, Technology, Finance, Compliance and Risk teams.

Required profile

• 7–10+ years of experience within payments.
• Strong experience with PSPs, acquiring and alternative payment methods.
• Experience managing payments across multiple international markets.
• Strong commercial, analytical and leadership capabilities.
• Experience with crypto and emerging payment technologies.
• Background in iGaming, fintech, crypto or high‑risk merchant environments.
