Head of Finance & Treasury

About the role

Our client, a leading banking institution, is looking for a Head of Finance & Treasury to shape the bank’s financial strategy, advise senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, capital planning and overall business performance, and ensure robust treasury operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead finance and treasury functions, defining financial strategy and providing strategic advice to senior leadership.
• Oversee treasury operations, including liquidity management, funding strategies, cash‑flow forecasting and balance‑sheet optimisation.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, IFRS compliance and effective management of external audits and regulatory reporting.
• Manage the bank’s capital position and work with risk committees on financial risk, balance‑sheet management and risk‑appetite frameworks.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Finance and Treasury team while driving operational excellence, process improvement, automation and finance transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CFA or equivalent (Master’s preferred).
• 10–15 years of experience in banking or financial services, including senior finance and treasury leadership roles.
• Proven expertise in treasury management, liquidity, capital management, financial control and regulatory reporting.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, analytical and financial modelling abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and decision‑making skills, with high integrity in a regulated environment.
