Head of Finance & Treasury

About the role

A well‑established bank in Malta is seeking a Head of Finance & Treasury to join its senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will shape the bank’s financial strategy, oversee treasury operations and drive financial reporting and capital management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the bank’s financial and treasury strategy.
• Oversee liquidity management, funding, balance‑sheet optimisation and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure robust financial controls, governance and accurate reporting.
• Provide strategic guidance on business performance, growth initiatives and capital allocation.
• Manage and develop the Finance & Treasury team through transformation projects.

Required profile

• Hold a local Accounting Warrant.
• Significant senior‑level experience in banking finance or treasury.
• Proven track record in liquidity, funding and balance‑sheet management.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and financial governance.
