Full‑Time Physiotherapist – National Football Team

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time physiotherapist to join the Malta Football Association’s national team medical staff. The role involves delivering high‑performance physiotherapy support to players during training, competitive matches and international travel.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for football players.
• Deliver on‑field (pitchside) care and emergency response, including CPR.
• Develop and implement injury prevention and conditioning programmes.
• Maintain accurate medical records and communicate progress to coaching staff.
• Travel with the national team for matches, training camps and tournaments.

Required profile

• Valid physiotherapy licence in Malta.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Sport and Exercise Medicine.
• Pitchside Care and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain within one month.
• Commitment to Safeguarding and Anti‑Doping training.
• Experience working in football or other competitive sports.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
