Financial Analyst (Senior) – Malta

About the role

EF Education First is seeking a driven and detail‑oriented Financial Analyst (Senior) to join its Malta team. This high‑impact position sits at the heart of the company’s financial operations, supporting the Holding companies with compliance, reporting and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and analytical reviews.
• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Support internal and external audit activities and liaise with auditors.
• Manage supplier payments and assist with cash‑flow and liquidity planning.
• Contribute to tax compliance, statutory filings and corporate‑governance tasks such as board meetings and stakeholder communications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience in accounting or a similar finance role.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a sense of ownership and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience with Oracle (advantage).
