Field Service Engineer

About the role

Alter Domus is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver reliable on‑site support for end‑user devices and workplace equipment across its locations. You will be the first point of contact for hardware and software issues, ensuring devices are prepared, deployed and maintained throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, configure and deliver laptops, peripherals and standard workplace equipment for joiners, movers and leavers.
• Perform device imaging, provisioning and deployment using Microsoft Intune or Autopilot.
• Provide on‑site troubleshooting for laptops, docking stations, monitors, keyboards, mice, headsets, printers and meeting‑room equipment.
• Coordinate device swaps, repairs and re‑imaging while minimizing user disruption.
• Conduct user handovers, orientation and acceptance testing, obtaining sign‑off as required.
• Maintain accurate asset and inventory records in the ticketing system.
• Support logistics activities such as receiving, unpacking, assembling, and coordinating returns or warranty repairs.
• Prepare devices for reuse or disposal, including data wiping and packaging for shipment.

Required profile

• Organised and service‑oriented with a strong focus on delivering consistent, high‑quality support.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with end users and internal teams.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and contribute to accurate asset data.
