Director of Sales & Marketing – Luxury Hospitality

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to drive the strategic growth and revenue performance of a luxury hospitality property. The successful candidate will lead Sales, Marketing, PR and business development across rooms, dining, events and other key revenue streams, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s vision and market positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive Sales & Marketing strategies that support revenue goals and brand positioning.
• Prepare, manage and monitor the annual budget, monthly forecasts and financial reporting.
• Analyse performance data, identify gaps and execute corrective actions to maximise revenue.
• Set, monitor and evaluate team and individual KPIs, objectives and performance targets.
• Coordinate Sales, Marketing, PR and related sub‑departments to ensure effective collaboration.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and new business opportunities.
• Work closely with senior leadership (GM, Director of Revenue, Finance) to support strategic decisions.
• Lead recruitment, coaching, training and performance reviews to build high‑performing teams.
• Oversee sales strategies for all market segments, key account development and event generation.
• Develop and execute Marketing action plans, brand standards, campaigns and creative initiatives.
• Manage PR strategies, media relationships and initiatives to increase hotel visibility.
• Maintain operational oversight through regular meetings, reports and revenue strategy discussions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑5 years of senior Sales & Marketing experience in luxury hospitality.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple departments and teams.
• Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using hotel systems such as Opera PMS.
