Data Steward

About the role

EY Malta is looking for a Data Steward to be the key point of accountability for data quality and definition within assigned domains. You will work closely with business users, data engineers and governance teams to ensure data is accurate, complete and aligned to agreed standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage data quality and ownership across assigned domains.
• Monitor and report on data quality KPIs and issues.
• Define and maintain business rules, standards and controls.
• Support root‑cause analysis for recurring data issues.
• Resolve data issues with stakeholders and collaborate with data owners, business SMEs, IT and governance teams.
• Contribute to regulatory, audit or compliance‑related data requirements where relevant.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, data management or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data management, data quality or data governance roles.

Required skills

• Microsoft Purview.
• Data governance frameworks.
