Data Engineer – Data Warehouse & Analytics Platform

About the role

A Data Engineer is sought for the Data Management team to help design, create and evolve the organisation's data services, data warehouse and analytics platform. It is a hands-on role combining data engineering expertise with responsibility for SSIS pipelines, SSRS reporting, Power BI datasets and dashboards, and the future implementation of AI-enabled data tools. The role works closely with business, governance and IT stakeholders and suits someone wanting a long-term career in a stable, globally recognised organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Work with business users to deliver clear, trusted and actionable insights
• Develop, support and enhance SSIS ETL pipelines across multiple source systems
• Design, develop and support SSRS reports for operational, management and regulatory needs
• Create and maintain Power BI datasets, models and dashboards
• Take part in the design and build of the data warehouse
• Implement data quality, validation, reconciliation and monitoring processes
• Contribute to architectural decisions and the long-term data and analytics roadmap

Required profile

• 2/3 years' experience in data engineering, BI engineering or similar roles
• Proven experience designing and building a data warehouse, preferably from inception to production
• Experience in Agile or iterative delivery environments
• Team player motivated by collaboration and open to learning new technologies

Required skills

• Hands-on SSIS and SSRS report development
• Power BI (datasets, DAX, dashboards)
• Advanced SQL and data modelling
• Data warehousing concepts, relational databases and analytical platforms
• Data governance, lineage and quality controls
