Assistant Wine Keeper

About the role

The Assistant Wine Keeper supports the Wine Keeper in maintaining an efficient, well‑organized wine cellar for a cruise line’s dining operations. You will ensure that the right wine selections are always available, uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, and contribute to an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage wine stock levels, receiving deliveries and recording inventory accurately.
• Maintain the cellar’s organization, ensuring wines are stored under optimal conditions.
• Assist the Wine Keeper in selecting and preparing wine lists for service staff.
• Perform regular quality checks and monitor temperature and humidity controls.
• Keep the cellar clean, orderly, and compliant with safety and hygiene regulations.
• Collaborate with dining‑service teams to fulfill wine requests promptly.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in wine studies, hospitality management or a related field.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) in a multicultural environment.
• Proven experience as an Assistant Wine Keeper or in a comparable wine‑cellar role, preferably in high‑volume settings such as cruise ships or large restaurants.
• Strong commitment to quality standards and guest service excellence.
