Assistant Spa Manager

About the role

The Assistant Spa Manager supports the Wellness and Spa Manager in overseeing daily operations of the spa and wellness centre, ensuring high guest satisfaction and smooth coordination of staff and services.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests during arrival and departure, manage appointments and special requests.
• Handle all guest interactions courteously and efficiently to maximise satisfaction.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, including computer systems, alarms, lighting and reception area upkeep.
• Promote retail sales, assist guests with merchandise, and manage inventory and stock replenishment.
• Set up and maintain spa facilities such as refreshment areas, locker rooms, thermal and pre‑treatment zones.
• Train and coach wellness and spa staff according to brand standards.
• Coordinate scheduling of spa, wellness and fitness services.
• Monitor facility condition, ensure equipment functionality and report deficiencies.
• Utilise department computer systems and maintain accurate operational records.
• Anticipate and order operational supplies, keeping inventory levels adequate.
• Support statistical reporting and conduct quality‑assurance tests.
• Hold regular departmental meetings, conduct performance reviews and foster effective communication.
• Maintain a safe, hazard‑free environment for staff and guests.
• Assist other departments as needed and oversee monthly retail inventory.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to respond efficiently and courteously.
• Experience supervising or assisting a team in a spa, wellness or hospitality environment.
• Ability to perform opening/closing duties and manage inventory.
• Excellent organisational skills to coordinate schedules and uphold facility standards.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
