Senior Network Engineer

About the role

APS Bank is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to design, develop and manage critical IT and network solutions. You will ensure optimal performance and security of the bank’s infrastructure while driving transformation initiatives across on‑premises and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage enterprise network infrastructure on‑premises, Azure, AWS and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Lead network transformation projects involving SD‑WAN, hybrid cloud and advanced routing technologies.
• Manage and optimise core routing, switching, wireless and firewall solutions.
• Support cloud connectivity architectures such as ExpressRoute, VPN, Transit Gateway and hybrid networking.
• Drive network automation using Python, Ansible and Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technology evaluations.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, DevOps and infrastructure teams to deliver resilient solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote operational excellence.

Required profile

• Strong enterprise networking background with at least seven years of experience in complex IT environments.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent, or relevant industry‑recognised certifications.
• Proven experience with Cisco routing & switching, HP Aruba, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN, data‑centre and campus networking, SD‑WAN, and firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services networking services.
