Junior Design Architect

About the role

AX Development is seeking a Junior Design Architect to support the creation of architectural drawings during the planning stage, prepare detailed design documentation for tender packages, and assist with site visits as required. The role demands strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects to the Group’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare neat and organised CAD drawings and scaled sketches of proposals.
• Conduct site surveys and measurements, and compile material, lighting and furniture schedules.
• Translate sketches into CAD drawings and prepare documentation for applications to planning authorities.
• Compile presentations and visual aids for client and team meetings.
• Assist with contract management, administrative tasks and project documentation.
• Liaise with architects, engineers and other stakeholders to obtain directions and instructions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Spatial Design, Construction Engineering or Built Environment Studies.
• 1‑3 years of industry experience.
• Strong verbal and visual communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of architecture terminology and industry standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the latest AutoCAD software (DWG format).
• Experience with Photoshop and other Adobe suite applications.
• Familiarity with Revit (considered an asset).
