Senior Protective Security Officer

About the role

The Senior Protective Security Officer will provide expert advice on security procedures, manage alarm activations, and act as the first line of response to incidents affecting colleagues, premises, and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage false and genuine alarm activations to minimise unnecessary police involvement.
• Provide accurate advice and guidance on all safety and security matters, ensuring satisfactory resolution.
• Handle day‑to‑day card access tasks and queries for branches and head‑office buildings.
• Support branch and head‑office locations by reporting faults to the security integrator and ensuring resolution within SLA.
• Monitor third‑party contractors to ensure compliance with security SLAs and flag any concerns to Security Management.

Required profile

• High level of computer literacy and confidence working in a technically demanding environment.
• Strong telephone and communication abilities to build effective working relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service in a fast‑paced setting.
• Logical, risk‑based problem‑solving skills with sound judgement under pressure.
• Excellent planning, organisational, and workload‑prioritisation capabilities.
• Fluency in English; previous experience in a security‑controlled environment is an asset.
