Plumber – Building Services

About the role

2coms is looking for experienced plumbers to join its Building and Engineering Services team in Msida. Successful candidates install, maintain, test and repair plumbing systems and related mechanical installations across various projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install small and large diameter pipework, including PPR and HDPE fusion-welded systems, and galvanized or black steel pipework with quick coupling, Victaulic and threaded connections.
• Set up valves, balancing systems and other plumbing components; plan layouts and repairs to match project specifications and technical drawings.
• Measure, locate and mark pipe positions, passage holes and fixture locations, then cut, thread, bend and fit pipes.
• Inspect, test and commission systems using pressure gauges, and use water or air to find leaks.
• Install and secure steel supports and brackets, and repair or replace faulty components.
• Cut openings in walls and ceilings for pipes and install bathroom fixtures such as toilets, basins, showers, mixers and taps.
• Operate pumps to drain flooded areas and carry out pre-commissioning tests on pumps and related equipment.
• Ensure all work meets health, safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in plumbing and mechanical installations in the building services sector.
• Good understanding of technical and construction drawings.
• Strong practical knowledge of plumbing systems and installation techniques.
• Professional, proactive, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, working well independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
