Manufacturing Shift Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Manufacturing Shift Manager is responsible for executing production, maintenance, and process activities during the assigned shift and coordinating with all stakeholders to meet manufacturing objectives efficiently and cost‑effectively. The role leads a team of operative and technical staff on a 3‑shift rotation, driving continuous improvement and ensuring accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the daily production plan, managing all manufacturing resources, KPIs, quality, and food‑safety standards.
• Lead and support productive and technical personnel to meet production targets.
• Collect and analyse data to drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, quality, waste reduction, and speed of execution.
• Prepare, analyse, and issue periodic production and performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety frameworks, HACCP protocols, GMP, 5S, and housekeeping standards.
• Conduct GEMBA walks, root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in Engineering (MQF Level 6) with at least 5 years of operations and people‑management experience, or Advanced Technical Diploma (MQF Level 5) with 9 years of experience.
• Front‑line people‑management experience in a GMP environment within food, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing.
• Willingness to work on a three‑shift basis.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
