Application Support (.NET Core) – Relocation to Malta

About the role

As an Application Support Engineer you will provide Level 2 technical support for financial applications, ensuring seamless operations and compliance within a leading neobank. The role involves troubleshooting escalated issues, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and supporting market data systems, with relocation to Malta.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for financial applications and trading systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated tickets related to investment platforms, portfolio management and risk tools.
• Support Bloomberg, Reuters and other market data feeds.
• Collaborate with Level 1 teams to improve knowledge sharing and reduce escalations.
• Document solutions in the knowledge base and contribute to end‑user training.
• Escalate unresolved issues to Level 3 or specialised teams and follow up for timely resolution.
• Work with compliance and risk teams to meet regulatory IT requirements.
• Assist with deployments, updates and integrations of financial systems.
• Monitor critical applications, respond to alerts and ensure performance stability.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent education.
• 3+ years experience with MS SQL Server and .NET technologies.
• 3+ years experience with NoSQL and relational database management systems.
• Willingness to relocate to Malta.
• Strong knowledge of investment management software, trading platforms and compliance systems.
• Experience troubleshooting financial data feeds and market connectivity issues.
