Aircraft Maintenance Technician (CAT A) – Malta Recruitment Event

About the role

This position is for a qualified Civil Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform base and line maintenance on Air Arabia and third‑party aircraft under a CAR 66 Category A1 authorisation. The role is tied to an invitation‑only recruitment event in Malta scheduled for late October 2026; shortlisted candidates must be able to attend.

Key responsibilities

• Review assigned tasks with the Maintenance Manager to understand priorities, documentation requirements and safety cautions before starting work.
• Prepare and execute scheduled aircraft maintenance, including inspections, repairs, component replacement and test checks, ensuring proper documentation, parts, tools and GSE are used.
• Carry out routine servicing, transit, daily and weekly checks, and record any defects or damage according to approved procedures.
• Manage safety by applying mandatory precautions, using appropriate protective equipment and following human‑factors guidelines.
• Report task status to the In‑Charge, highlight any aircraft condition issues, and maintain cost awareness by minimising waste of consumables and parts.

Required profile

• Qualified civil aircraft maintenance technician with at least 2 years experience on large commercial aircraft (preferably Airbus) and 4 years in a base/line maintenance environment.
• Current CAR 66 Category A1 Maintenance Licence and solid understanding of aircraft maintenance theory and practice.
• Ability to read, write and speak English to a good technical standard and use Microsoft Office.
• Capability to obtain a UAE driver’s licence.
